Each 100 Gram Argor Heraeus Gold Bar is available to you for purchase today in brand-new condition from the refiner. The bars are sealed individually inside of assay card packages that include important details on the product contained within. One side of the assay has the matching serial number for the bar aligned with the same view of the bar that has a serial number etched on its surface.
The opposite side of the assay card has the matching weight and metal fineness of the gold bar, as well as the signature of the Argor Heraeus certified assayer. Each bar is a minted gold ingot with smooth surfaces and a blank reverse design field.
On the obverse face of the 100 Gram Argor Heraeus Gold Bar, you will find the company logo at the top of the design field. Engravings and inscriptions on this side are arranged vertically down the face of the bar. At the top is the aforementioned logo that includes a stylized “AH” in a center circle with the words “Argor Heraeus” inscribed in a ring around it. Other inscriptions on this face include “Switzerland, 100 G, Fine Gold, 999.9.”
At the bottom of the design field is the assayer’s mark along with a unique serial number. That serial number is issued using a six-digit numbering system. As mentioned earlier, the obverse of the bar is packaged to align with the side of the assay card that reflects the same serial number so the two appear together for instant verification of your product when viewed in the card.
Argor Heraeus was formed as Argor SA in Chiasso, Switzerland, in 1951. Several mergers have occurred in the intervening years, including the company’s 100% acquisition by UBS in 1973 and a 1986 split venture between UBS and the German Heraeus group that formed the modern Argor Heraeus SA. The mint is now headquartered in Mendrisio, Switzerland.
