The Perth Mint was established in 1899 as a branch of the Royal Mint in London, following the discovery of significant gold deposits in Western Australia. In addition to minting coins, the Perth Mint is involved in gold refining, producing bullion bars, and providing services to the mining industry. The mint’s gold refining capabilities are widely recognized for their high standards. Right now, 2.5 oz Perth Mint Cast gold Bars are available for purchase online

Each of the 2.5 oz Perth Mint Cast Gold Bars offered here will arrive individually packaged in protective plastic. The Perth Mint Cast Gold Bar features the mint’s logo as the primary design element, a feature that doubles as Perth’s London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) registered mark.
Cast bars are produced by first placing gold shot or small ingots into a mold. The metal is completely encased in the mold and heated to melt the metal down into a singular form. Once it has cooled, it is removed from the enclosed mold and finished with identifying markers. These markers are typically found on just one side of the bar.
For the obverse of the 2.5 oz Perth Mint Cast Gold Bar, the rectangular field has markings aligned at the top and bottom of the portrait field. At the top is the Perth Mint Swan Logo with the elegant swan at the center of a circular stamp that includes the words THE PERTH MINT and AUSTRALIA. At the bottom of the field, you will find the weight and purity of the bar stamped into the surface as 2 1/2 OZS and 9999. The reverse of the bar is blank.
