The mintage of only 350 gold coins in 2021 is the lowest of the five weights available in the proof series.

With just 350 coins issued in the 1/20 oz Proof Gold Libertad weight for 2021, the Mexican Mint has set a level that is one of the lowest in the history of the program. In fact, only three date marks have a mintage that falls below this level set for 2021. The 2020 and 2014 coins in the 1/20 oz Proof Gold Libertad hold the joint lowest mintage at just 250 gold coins, while the 2013 coin had a mintage of only 300 coins.

Winged Victory is shown in the obverse design of 2021 Proof Mexican Gold Libertad Coins. The design shows Victory as she is seen at the top of the Mexican Independence Victory Column. Here, she is shown in three-quarter left-profile relief with a laurel wreath in her right hand and a set of broken chains in her left.

The Mexican Coat of Arms is found on the reverse side of the 2021 1/20 oz Proof Gold Libertad Coin. The coat of arms is the national seal for the government of Mexico and shows a powerful golden eagle. The eagle is perched on a prickly pear cactus with a snake in its talons as the two battle for survival against one another.
