The Angel of Independence can be seen every day at the top of the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City. The monument was commissioned in 1902 to commemorate the centennial anniversary of Mexico’s independence and was inaugurated in 1910 during the presidency of Porfirio Díaz.
